Pat-Pat

Our dear friend Pat-Pat (C.J.'s lovey) had to be mended today. It had parts that looked like arms hanging off. Good thing I learned how to free motion ah. Worked like a charm, well if free motioning on gauze is easy? Ha. And then I returned Pat-Pat to his owner...and explained that Pat-Pat needs to be loved and taken care of and please try not to run your arm up through the gauzy parts again. (Yes it is soooo dirty...I tried to wash him yesterday but C refused...today I'll laundry it while he naps.)

2 dresses down

These 2 size 24 months pillowcase dresses are finished. They hopefully will be listed in my shop today.

Vintage Pillowcase Dresses

I had these vintage pillowcases that I have not used in oh about 10 years...so I decided to make them into dresses this morning. I'll make bows for them later today. The top 2 are size 12 months and the bottom 2 are size 24 months. I might sell these in the shop...yeah $15.00 each? And as always click on the pics to view more detail of the sweet little birdies, flowers and embroidery.

Brainy Baby Deal

Another great deal is running around. My mother-in-law works for Brainy Baby. They are having a sale on the Just Me Music Personalized Cds. My son has 2 of these...Elmo and Veggie Tales. He LOVES them. We listen to them in the car on trips short and long. They personalize the cds with your childs name like "Hey C.J. let's sing a silly song together" and they use their name through out the songs, etc. Very cute.

They are $9.99 (usually $29.99)! ! !

You can also click on "Special Offers" for more deals.

Sis Boom

My first order of Jennifer Paganelli's fabric came in yesterday! It is soft and yummy. (I had some of her fabric but I bought it back in the fall without knowing what it was at the quilt shop that was closing--might I remind you a mere $5.00 per pound...what a steal). So will I make a quilt or a diaper bag or both? Hopefully both. I'm scowering Flickr for ideas...though I am thinking maybe huge pinwheels or a huge house or a huge vase of flowers on a quilt? I don't want to lose the designs cutting them to pieces...that is why I am thinking HUGE. And the diaper bag like my red floral one, though perhaps with a soft appliqued on flowers. Time to get ready for church. Happy Sunday Lovelies.

4 years ago today...

Yep...time goes fast. There was a nasty storm with hail the day before our wedding...I was freaking out because our ONLY plan was outdoors. I woke up via my little sister peaking out the shades of the Grand Wisteria to blinding SUNSHINE! My bridesmaids wore thermal leggings under their dresses because it was 60 degrees...but the sun was out. It was a fabulous day.

Happy Anniversary Jake!
I love you even more now!
Corrie

Ps Jake, we are watching the full wedding video tonight...its only 4 hours long! Oh and I want to try my dress on too? That will be interesting!

The Twins

How cute are these boys! Yeah...they are one of my best friends boys. We endured the pains of pregnancy together. We even tried to manage our hospital time...I'd go, then she'd go, I'd go, then she'd go...always with legitimate complications! and we never had to go at the same time...and really this went on from August 06 to March 07...and we were only 3 months apart...and now we laugh at our "easy pregnancies" HA! (And our hubbies well they are...attached at the hip?)

Anyway I got to tag along on this photoshoot as CoCo the clown to help bring on the smiles. Check out their 2 yrs pictures featured on Sugar Snap Photography. Attn: Gap, Childrens Place, Janie and Jack, Crazy 8, they are available for modeling...their parents will gladly save the money for college in their Georgia Tech Piggy Banks.

Joshua 24:15 Collage

Hmmm…well I had a little project to make…a fabric collage. Using mostly scraps. It turned out quite well. These go fast and I love making them. (The end user can frame it or make it into a pillow.) I free motioned on Joshua 24:15 which is

Joshua 24:15 (21st Century King James Version)

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

(oh and these are my super cute new shoes I got this weekend while in Montgomery…thanks mom!)

Gabe and C.J.

We had a playdate today...Gabe and C.J. Their dads grew up together and now their moms are the best of friends too. Suzanne and I are in a bit of a mini book club...for The Shack and Twilight series. Good times.

A dress in blue, for you know who... And it is much prettier in person. Jake said it is very fitting for the end wearer.

Red Floral Dress

Another dress...too match my diaper bag? No. Will hem after supper.

Laurel's Dress

My sister ask me to make her niece, Makaylee, a dress for her 5th birthday. I tried the pattern out on a dress for Laurel, my girlfriend Suzanne's daughter. Her 5th birthday party is around the corner as well. This green and black polka dot dress is a size 6. The bow is made with Mary Engelbreit's cherry fabric. This was a quick sew. And it is too cute!

The pattern is from:
