Sunday, we met my little sis and her hubbie for lunch and a Braves game... They had skin cancer tent set up outside the stadium. I think their little awareness ribbon is so cute "See a Spot, Call your Doc"
TIP: Upload a photo then "EDIT WITH PICNIK" to make it large...swatch will be 8x8 inches... so "RESIZE" pixels to max of 1200x1200 (and check the "keep proportions" box) then SAVE and return to Spoonflower!!! You do not even need to enter a credit card number!!! It is simplier than it sounds...if you need help...leave a comment or email me...both go to my phone so I can respond quickly.
While the spray paint is drying I'll show you what we started on Saturday... C.J. and Jake working...well Jake working and C.J. pretending to help. Toddler bed down...full bed in!!! (I haven't pick out a new quilt/bedding yet.) Seeing where I want everything... Cute things going up here!!! Just wait... Going to paint these shelves red... This arrangement is going over his headboard. I'm going to hang the spaceship and make him a planet "Chupiter" to hang in the corner over his bed. I hoisted the 40 pound dinosaur tv up there by myself...no cable for this tot...tv is just for the DVD player... Stay tuned...
Well my little one took a big kid step this week...PRESCHOOL!!! He loved it...the 1st day. He cried the 2nd day...but only until I was out of sight. Yes he sang Rocky Top for his class today...and yes he assured his teacher that is not a Tennessee Fan but a major Georgia Tech Fan!
Recap: Got a lunch box to match his bookbag... Had a "smock" fitting...which he was less than thrilled about. Are these still what they use? An old button up shirt turned backwards... This is what we used when I was little so it's probably a bit old school...oh well. Sorry camera fogged up... He was SO EXCITED!!! Here we go... He said "Look Mom, nobody hung their backpack under my name!" Heh heh heh... I had to beg him for a hug...on the "hug rug". Snif Snif...but thats ok...Rock On Kid! Have Fun!
And in the wrap up...we went to seethe Braves vs Nationals... Day 11...I wanted to get a pic here all week...at C and 3rd...cause well I call him ''C" and he is 3. One last trip to The Capital... And a little tour of the Library of Congress. DC was awesome. We visited many many more museums than listed and the dining was awesome. The million pics didn't even cover the transportation lessons for CJ: shuttle buses, airplanes, taxi cars, Metros, moving sidewalks, 7 minute elevators, giant escalators, walking, walking, walking and that millions of people live without a car everyday. Hope to go back one day...when C is older.
We are created in "HIS" image...for me this explains the strong desire to create...via sewing, painting, quilting, crafting, repurposing, photography, loom knitting, and occasionally cooking. Here's to hoping you find something colorful and fun...to inspire you to make something cute!
Oh and we have infertility issues. So please feel free to ask me to hold your hand if you are walking down this path. Our 6 yr old son is a Miracle...on so many levels. We received an Adoption Miracle in August 2011...our daughter was born in July 2011!!! And we are preparing to adopt a 3rd child. I'd love to help be a cheerleader for you if adoption is on your heart!
