As the clock ticks...

Frost is still sneaking around and making sure everyone is on their best behavior...

I guess he couldn't find the "O" as he claimed the popcorn...

We enjoyed CJ's Christmas program...unfortunately he didn't bow between each song like he did in the church program-HA!

We got the classic pic with Santa...with NO crying from Carah!!! yeah!

And I even squeezed in a few minutes to make a baby gift for one of our newest Georgia Tech tailgaters...

Baby Carah doesn't cry when we drop her off at the church nursery!

She thinks she's a big girl already at 5 1/2 months new...

And she wants to sit up by herself...and she almost has it...

May your days be Merry and Bright....Merry Christmas!

"Frost" always shows up on CJ's birthday...this year we found him eating one of the unfrosted cupcakes!

We've also found him having a marshmallow bubble bath...

Christmas Ruffle Tote

My sweet friend, Tammy, called me a while ago and ask if we'd like to use their beach condo for a few days in November. YEAH! We took our parents and had a great trip. As a little thank you, I made and mailed her a Christmas tote today.

What are you making these days?

Merry Christmas 2009! ! !

Luke 2:1-11
1In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3And everyone went to his own town to register. 4So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

May you rest in the peace and hope that was sent to save us on Christmas.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town...

No line yesterday...well one crying baby girl in front of us...weekday lunch time...before school is out...is the key...
He told Santa he wants a Handy Manny tv, Handy Manny dvd and a candy cane.
I think this Santa is the prettiest (set-up included) in the Metro...I've been to 4 malls over the years...this is C.J.'s 2nd time with this Santa...
Nobody told C to clasp his hands...he does this when he is nervous and excited...
I did debate a haircut prior...didn't make it happen.
And the actual $24 picture where they are both looking at the camera...is not pictured (but it is a great picture!)...it's sitting here so I can take it to Walgreens and make copies for G-Parents, uncles and aunt.

The Christmas Decor

So the decor is out and up for the most part...this tree needs a skirt...and of course I want to make it myself...but not this year...not before Christmas...seriously don't we all have last minute shopping to squeeze in and then a million presents to wrap...
The stockings were hung by the chimney (that has NEVER been used in the 4.5 years that we have lived here...so no worries of dirtying your suit here Santa) with care...
And a new addition to the Christmas traditions...Elf on the Shelf...C quickly named him "Frost"...

And my pretty old angel...have I told you her story?...HA...I tell it to Jake once a week...just to get on his nerves...it starts like this: "I was working at Our Father's House Florist in Fayetteville...I LOVED working there...Miss Maddie was the coolest boss...she was always cooking for us and letting us decorate...and Kelly and Tovah and Kristi were the best to hang out with after school and unwind with and laugh and laugh and laugh with... "
So back to that tree skirt...I got to thinking...Hmmm I have some Jennifer Paganelli Casey Scroll fabric that looks kinda red-orange...I wonder how it would work...
Oh yeah...I think it works quite WELL!!!! So I spread that fabric open and...
Oh yeah...I am not making a tree skirt...ever? I'll just lay this pretty little 2 yards of fabric out.
Casey Scroll Rocks. Thanks Jennifer...I love you. Merry Christmas...

Reindeer Sandwiches

Want an easy, cute little lunch for the holidays...I found this in one of my cookbooks for kids...

Today I made it...PB&J with raisins for eyes, a smashed gummy for a nose, Dorito antlers...C loves carrots so...having the reindeer eat them was just a bonus...
He liked it.
As you can tell by the peanut butter schmeared face...
And the raisins went quickly so the reindeer soon had carrot eyes...
And Avery stayed close by in hopes of catching flying peanut butter crumbs...
Happy Lunching...

They also are offering a few $20.00 classes (and she gave out $5.00 off coupons last night as well!!!) You know how I like a good deal.

Here is the website...

Tag Who?

an Idea from Hello Cupcake http://www.hellocupcake7.blogspot.com/

The Rules:1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.2. Go to the 6th Folder, then pick the 6th picture in that folder.3. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.4. Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them. So here is my picture:

This was C.J.'s 1st Christmas way back in 2006. He was not even suppose to be born yet...he was not due until mid January 2007. He wanted out so bad he tried to climb out before way before Thanksgiving...and he did before way before Christmas. Let's recap...preterm labor started the 1st week in November...like put me on drugs and bedrest preterm labor...and he was born Dec 5th. So he was 20 days old on Christmas Day...5 1/2 weeks early. Man I was tired in this picture almost as tired as he was. And so glad he was at home with us healthy and always hungry. That cute little pearl necklace says "Mom" on one side and "Love" on the other...my sweet hubbie had just given that to me. I only wear it on the "Mom" side.

I tagged:
Aunt Spicy
Just a Girl
My Penny Pile
Muschara Monoblogs
Pampering Beki
The Robinson Family

All links are on the side bar. Thanks.

Nacho Christmas

Christmas Round Two...The Jeffords

We ate dinner at Fronterra...yum yum...with the longest wait for our food EVER! Then headed back to Susan and Lawrence's for the gift exchange. It was fun with C.J. helping everybody open presents and "OH WOW" and "Oh BOY" before he could even see what was in the box. Yes that is a REAL SMILE on Jake's face as he opened his new cell phone sized camcorder! ! ! And YES a real surprize on Ross's face tickets to the Peach Bowl...which we will not talk about now after the loss. Anyway the next morning C.J. helped make dumplings or dumpins...I'll try to get those pics from someone? And we ventured into Christmas Round 3...
