National Infertility Week!!!

About 1 in 8 are affected by infertility.
Homes across America have closets filled with baby clothes...
They are praying, hoping, wishing, taking meds,
Going in for bloodwork, ultrasounds, procedures,
Let's help them get those clothes off the hangers and on a new baby...

Hi friends...it is National Infertility Week...

A bill was introduced by this Senator, a woman of course,

http://gillibrand.senate.gov/newsroom/press/release/?id=d907c56b-d794-4586-bdfd-a48a963d70ed

It will allow Infertility to be covered by insurance as a disease.

Please take time to send a letter...it only takes a second...

Please take the time if INFERTILITY has affected you or someone you LOVE.

Thank you so much,

Sincerely,
Corrie

Arugula

Ever grown arugula? I grew some in a 7 inch pot last summer...and loved it...so I planted more this year...it is easy and grows quickly...I like to mix it in with a salad and add sunflower seeds...they play well off of each other!

Doggie Doggie Wheres Your Home?

Little Avery's area by the back door is looking a bit drab. Though her Las Vegas towel is cool...

When my new So St. Croix fabric came in I decided it was time to make her a new bed.
Pretty Simple...

So I got her all set up...

Then decided...Tango has his own quilt...and she doesn't...the cobblers son has no shoes??? She loves blankets...especially fleece blankets...especially THIS fleece blanket.

And well it is on the downside of drab too...Hmmm how about I make a top piece and sew it onto her fav blanket...a win win...Bingo.

Pose...

She likes it!

Before...

After...and yes...she is under her new blanket...thats how she rolls!

I found the yellow polka dot placemat in the $1 section at Michaels yesterday...she needed it too.

Next Mission...find a new pretty rug for the backdoor...

And yes she stays tied to the backdoor when I am sewing and have a hot iron in the kitchen...

And the fabric is by Jennifer Paganelli...

2 matching pillows...

And I scrapped together 2 artsy pillows...and this is why I never toss a piece unless it in less than 1/4 inch!!! The brown polka dot bed skirt is on the guest bed...which could easily be converted into a matching crib dust ruffle...and the curtain is this material as well...Hmmm...GOOOOOOOO Ovaries! We need a little girl now...well as soon as I stuff these pillows...

Make room for a baby girl...

Let's start with No baby girl on the way that we know of...just wishful thinking...

Making the quilt tops is the fun part for me...backing and edging...is like pulling my teeth...So I backed it this morning...

Decided to actually try putting a ruffle on a quilt instead of talking about it...

My helper always wants in a picture...it is totally obvious that is the 3 right...with the pull-up and PACIFIER!!!

The front...

The back...

Pose...

Pose...

Pose...and my dogwood finally bloomed out...lovely...

Next up...cover an ugly canvas I already have with a fabric collage to match and a pillow or two to match...those are also "FUN" parts...

All Fabric by Jennifer Paganelli. Go visit her over at www.sisboom.com She is such a lovely soul and an amazing designer. Or Jona over at www.fabritopia.com where I typically buy my Paganelli fabric...super fast and great deals.
