In His Hands Shirt

He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands
He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands…sing along…

This is how I feel when I see Go Green Shirts…they just make me think of that song.
(If you’d rather your shirt say “Go Green”…I can make that instead) Do you like it?

Away in a Manger Shirt

Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus lay down his sweet head

What do you think about this for a childs Christmas shirt? Do you like it? (It is not ironed on)..I'm trying things out. Please comment.

The Fireman

They call me the fireman...that's my name. Fancy craft you made there kid! Yeah we let Jake go to the doctor alone yesterday while we went to on a playdate with Luke and Cade...McDonald's for breakfast and to the library for the Halloween parade...am I terrible? There is nothing I could have done except chase C.J. around at the office anyway. I didn't paint his face incase we had to rush off to the hospital. Which is not going to happen we don't think! ! ! Jake was called back afterhours...told to pick up antibiotics & pain meds that did not get called in and told a rather unhelpful..."we don't know what is wrong...nothing showed up on your CT scan." Jake is not happy...and his stomach still hurts.

Uping a Pattern

While we wait on test results to see if my husband is going to have his appendix removed...YES a fun day we are having here in the Metro ATL that started at 3:00a.m...I made a larger pattern of my smock pattern...and I like calling it "uping" it...that is what I am doing...taking it UP a size. I did it and decided I should try it out before making the order I have for a 3T turkey smock. I used some vintage Joan Kessler Fabric and a thin pretty coordinating pink. Zigzag stiching just pops on these!...Now will the doctor please call back! ! !

High 5 Shirt

These are very popular around our house...along with "give me some knuckles". Hmmm can I make that too? The High 5 shirt...I think will look better with solid letters or fabric with more of a solid back ground....none the less...the idea is now out of my brain and can be made on a shirt. These will be available in just about any fabric and shirt combination you come up with.

High 5 to me!

Ugly Monkey

Exactly what happened to that monkey you were making your son you ask...Mmmm sometimes things don't turn out as cute as you hope they will. Sometimes you make something and you adjust the pattern that you did not have to start with. So sometimes you end up with an UGLY Monkey. One day I'll make monkey a shirt...perhaps that will help him CUTEn up. C.J. loves monkey none the less.

Red Christmas Truck

So...here is a preview of the Red Christmas Truck with a Tree Shirt...these will be available on white longsleeve shirts and blue longsleeve shirts. Do you like it?

About 3 months ago I claimed the verse Proverbs 31:15. As the The Wife of Character is being talked about:

"She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls."

And since then I have gotten up around 6:30 a.m. almost every week day. I feel refreshed and ready to go...excited to jump into the day. I get up and read my bible study...clean and sew and blog...not necessarily all on the same day...but sometimes they all fall on the same morning. The house is quiet and MUCH is accomplished. (So yeah sometimes I do lay down at nap time with C.J. but rarely)

So this morning it was time to organize the fabric...WHY would anybody get up at 6:20in the morning and do that?!?! Well...making shirts like I do...you need to see what you have to be productive and I never could do my homework until my room was clean...not because I was ask to...but because my brain could not focus with all of the chaos...Hmmm which means I am somewhat OCD...yes. And putting all of the scraps in one box is organized? Mmmm...Yes...I'll use them and there is no simpler way to organize that...I'm not so OCD that I want to organize them by color. And color order has been important all my life too...I drew a million pinwheels as a child...and colored them in red orange yellow green blue purple...EVERY TIME. And that is how my brain is partial accountant (well for 6 years)...and partial artsy.

The turkey towels...are for friends...turkey towels on old vintage feed sack cloths. Do people really like these or just my mom? Yeah...I guess they do for holidays...to hang on the stove...or in the guest bathroom? Just remember to put it back up with the holiday stuff and do not leave it out all year.

Painting Pumpkins

Who's the Bravest Mom of All? Britt-Britt. She invited us over to paint a pumpkin! It was fun and we couldn't take many pictures..or they might jump up and run and touch something with the fall colored hands. Can you tell which two don't like to get their hands messy? And yes they did try to throw the pump-pumps again...hey this could be a new painting fad...pumpkin smashed walls?

Learning Curve

There is a fine art to learning in a new ETSY store and some questions people can't help you answer:
--How much to order from a vendor?
--How many do I make of a certain item?
--How many blanks do I leave in the closet for custom orders?
--When do you start the next holiday?
--How many people do you turn down before you order more shirts from the vendor?
--How do I make all these holiday items and get them on the front page to draw people in and not have bread and milk type items once they enter? (they are coming...birthday cakes...more letters, more numbers, football helmets, monsters...more animals...more quilts...bibs...cloth diapers).....

AHHHHH it is so exciting and I could sew all night...but I have a family...to cook for and chase around the kitchen and take to Kroger to get a cookie and and and...oh I want to walk you through a tutorial...tweeze my eyebrows, clean the toilets, take the clothes out of the dryer, learn the best way to advertise, take a deep breath...it's fun...I'll make it all happen. Once again...slowly I'll build you a closet to chose from.

Cagle's Dairy Farm

And then Saturday night we ventured off again...to Cagle's Dairy Farm. The boys loved the pumpkins! Trying to get them all to look at the camera was once again a feat in itself...Brittany decided to throw a pumpkin up in the air to get their attention...so all 3 boys picked up a pumpkin and threw one....and another and another...until we quickly wrangled them back into the strollers! C.J. loved the hayride, bonfire and the "marshies"...even the ones I burned...actually I think I burned all the ones I toasted? After pushing the strollers through the dark corn maze (yes it was a workout) they played on the cutest little tractors and a trampoline pillow....very cool...though I did not end up with any pictures of it. So check out Cagle's farm this fall it is fun for all ages! http://www.CaglesDairy.com

Multiples Fall Outting

Saturday morning The Reardens invited us to the Multiples Club Fall Outting...they boys had a blast on the slide...not so much fun in the jumping castle that kept "melting" (I overheard a crying little girl tell her mommy) and they kept blowing the outlets as they turned on popcorn machines, cotton candy machines etc. Notice all the cute shirts....Hmmmm I wonder who made those?
