After taking in the Good Word from Pastor Mike, we darted downtown to The Varsity for a few slaw dogs and greasy fries. Then parked it in the blue lot, grabbed our tickets and 755 Club Passes and went up for a nice cool game in the AC. That lasted 5 mins...because CJ kept telling us that we'd told him we were going "TO THE BALLGAME". I guess at 3 yrs old...sitting in the AC is not as much fun as sitting in the 95 degree seats. Luckily shady nose bleed section 435 was wide open!!! And I highly recommend it...especially the very top row...the breeze is AMAZING! And just to clarify...I am not kidding...it is the best breeze in the house!
This kid spent the afternoon...fighting off a nap...

Savannah, GA June 2010
Jake had a job to do in Savannah, GA last Friday morning...so we drove down with him Thursday to take in the scenery. CJ loves staying a hotel...
And would be happy just to sit in the room for 24 hours, pretending to play video games.
We had a great view on Bay Street!
Sorry no pictures of us shucking our own oysters at Bernie's Oyster House...but man they were good!
Then we strolled down River Street.
And we even saw a dolphin.
Thanks for letting us tag along Da-da...
Me and My Sweetie Petey Poo...
Cheese...
A muggy walk a few blocks back to see Paula Deen's restaurant.
And went to her shop...
CJ loves Paula Deen so he was quite disappointed that she was not there..."just the picture cut out"
The chocolate chip gooey butter cake is divine! I ate it so fast I didn't have time to take a picture 1st...and the shop was packed...sorry I couldn't get a good shot of it...
And from her shop...
to let CJ played in the fountain...
A great way to keep cool on a hot Georgia night...
The next morning he had donuts in bed...
We took one more look off the balcony...
And he loved that we saw this float by...
Hope to see you again soon Savannah!

Tula Pink Ruffle Apron
A sweet Friend tipped me off to a fabric sale at Fabritopia...well she tips me off to many great fabric sales. This friend also sold some things for me a while back and I have wanted to make her a thank you present ever since. I think Tula Pink is one of her favorite fabric designers. So Lori, here is your Tula Pink "Plume" Ruffle Apron to wear as you please...in your own kitchen or at a craft sale!!!
Ps...I used an online tutorial but strayed so much from it because I wasn't crazy about the way everything was "unfinished"

When Empty Arms Become a Heavy Burden
I have just finished reading this book...literally...minutes ago...
It was just what I needed. One of the writers a former OBGYN, infertility patient, and now a pastor walks you through the chapters with biblical references to people facing infertility and also brings it to a human level. He references God caring for you in the way you would would care for a new kitten...you take them to the vet for shots to keep them healthy...the kitten doesn't understand your purpose. And it left me being able to relate in secondary infertility to an amputee with one leg. Do people often say to him "well at least you have one leg". Discounting my gratefulness for my miracle son. Or secondary infertility is like being at a feast where you are served one delicious roll and then told if you would like the rest of your meal it will cost you an average of $2,000-$50,000, oh and you may not even get your food. Though for most everyone else it is free and all you can eat, all day, everyday, not to mention fresh and cooked to taste.
I highly recommend this book for anyone walking down the path of infertility. It is available at www.amazon.com
Ps...Hubbie said this post sounded angry. I am not angry. Frustrated at times...YES. The point was I found comfort in this book...and I hope your friends will too.

Infertile in Louisiana
Do you have a friend who has infertility issues and lives in LOUISIANA (or insurance in Louisiana)? I would love to talk to them. I have insurance questions that relate to the Louisiana Infertility Insurance Mandate. So please send them my way! ! !

Mom went over to help with the midnight and 3 a.m. feeding of Asa and Adeline last night...perhaps this picture is a little less deceiving of their size. 2 in one bouncy seat!

Life Day 2...Asa and Adeline
An amazing opportunity came up this week while visiting at my parents. My mom's friend, Jill, had her beautiful twin girls. In these pictures they are 30 hours old!!!
Baby B is Adeline Leigh weighing only 4.3 pounds!!! Baby A is Asa James weighing only 5.1 pounds!!!
They are 4 weeks premature...and amazingly healthy!!!
The pictures are totally deceiving to their size. The girls are filled out and have great cheeks!
The nurse was mad when she saw I photographed them in the buff...because they are having trouble keeping their temps up...but I had them out of clothes for 2 minutes max!
Cat fighting already...
So after being peed on, pooped on and spit up on...we put their teeny tiny diapers and onesies back on...Bryan, their super dad, showed me how to do the proper swaddle and they were happy once again!
Seriously...it was such a blessing to see these girls at their tiny state. As most babies this size are still snuggled down in the womb...Adeline's tiny nose was the size of my pinky nail. God is good...his works are amazing and beyond our comprehension.
