My Neenaw taught me how to knit hats on a loom a few weeks ago...I finally went out and bought the set of looms yesterday....4 looms in a pack at Michaels (hook and needle are included)...$14.99 and use a readily available coupon...for 40% off...is a bang up deal! ! ! Making these while watching tv...is a new MUST...I'll make them for friends...sell a few on Etsy and donate some to the local Childrens Hospital...that's what my Neenaw does..minus the Etsy part. Want to jump in with me...Heather, Denita, Britt, Paula, Sharon, Joi???...Let me know...this is easy and I can't break the looms so...I think we can give this a fair shake.

Neenaw & Pops Barn March 2010
Last week we went to TN for a visit. It is always good to see the family....learn some new cooking tricks...a new crafting trick (making knit hats on a loom)...and squeeze in some cool pictures on the farm.

hi...my name is Corrie...i have a problem...
i have been working on projects this week..projects that need to be finished...projects that needed a little more matching fabric...to finish them off.
Fabritopia had fabric on clearance from 2 designers that i needed...Jona is a super fast shipper...so i got the material today...
i needed a little more Mendocindo by Heather Ross...
to finish this fishy mermaidy quilty...
i needed a little more Sis Boom and Flower Power by Jennifer Paganelli...
to finish this bold and colorful, lovable, huggable, snuggable...that i will hate to part with IF i part with it...
and Jona usually sends you a few swatches...teasers...i was so lucky to get some of Jennifer Paganelli's latest and greatest...So St. Croix...little snipits of joy...and this is where the problem comes in...most would toss them...but NOOOO i had to make something with them...SERIOUSLY...they are 3x3 inches!!!
Hmmmmm it didn't take long to think of something teny tiny...no not a tiny quilt...
a keychain...
a mini resume...it says "LOOK AT ME...I MAKE Modern QUILTS"...

Yellow Rose Baby Quilt
I started this quilt...in April of 2009
Yellow Rose Quilt
...and...it was wonkie...so I didn't ever put the edging on...until today...
Hopefully one day there will be a little girl in our family...and it can be a prop in some pics...flopped over a rocking chair or something like that...then it won't look wonkie.

Quilt Pouches
I had bit of Denita's fabric left so I decided to make her a little pillow case pouch to put her quilt in. So now on trips...it can be a pillow or a quilt.
And knowing Britt didn't get one when I made her quilt...I remembered I had a bit of her fabric left over too...so I made her one too...

A Quilt for Denita
A Quilt for Denita
A quilt for you,
My friend, my dear
Though it took 7 months it's finally here! ! !
Not perfect you'll see, quite like me...
But it was made just for you,
A delight, my pleasure...
May it keep your lap warm
And in your heart be a treasure ; )
With much love because you are so sweet and good and funny and true.
I think of you often and say prayers for you.
Corrie
One of my helpers...showing the front...
A close up of my favorite part the little stripey square...
The back...
A close up of the lush-ish-ness...
My other helper...
The pose...
Don-nita and Cody...
